What Is Logo Tone?
Logo Tone is a browser color guessing game built around familiar brand logos. Each round shows a logo with one target color changed. Your job is to tune that color back toward the original brand color as closely as possible.
How to Play Logo Tone
- 01
Study the logo and the changed target color. The brand name is shown so the challenge focuses on color memory, not logo recognition alone.
- 02
Move the hue, saturation, and brightness sliders until the changed logo color feels close to the original brand color.
- 03
Submit your guess to reveal the original target color, your selected color, the Delta E distance, and your points for the round.
- 04
Finish all five Logo Tone rounds. The first version uses a reviewed T1 logo set with non-gradient SVG assets and playable target colors.
- 05
Review the final target-versus-yours grid, copy a Logo Tone link, or download a PNG result card.
Why only one logo color changes
Changing one target color keeps the logo recognizable while making the color task precise. It works for single-color logos and flat multi-color logos where one brand color can be selected clearly.
HSB sliders for Logo Tone
Logo Tone uses HSB controls because they match how designers think about color: hue changes the color family, saturation changes intensity, and brightness changes how light or dark the selected logo color feels.
Delta E scoring in Logo Tone
After each Logo Tone guess, the game compares your color with the target using Delta E 2000. Lower Delta E means a closer visual match, and the game converts that distance into a 0-100 round score.
Who Logo Tone is for
Logo Tone is useful for designers, brand teams, UI students, marketers, and anyone who wants a fast color perception challenge using familiar visual identities. It is free, mobile-friendly, and runs directly in the browser.
